| SEAT! Ok, I have ridden the RC51 now for about a week and I am tired of the numb butt after I am done ridding. Is their anyone else other than corbin who makes seats with abit more cushion? |

| Re: SEAT! I really liked the Sargent on my RC.
Great for street-riding comfort.
Would not be good for the track though, it's too wide at the front.

| Re: SEAT! I have a friend that did a custom job on a CBX just a beatifull bike, anyways he bought a corbin seat, it did not fit. and the people over at corbin were not helpfull in fixing the problem, he had a really bad time with the customer cervice, sending the seat back for adjustments twice, still no fittment. after he had enough, he wanted his money back but corbin said that theres no money back because its a custom seat, he didint order anything out of the ordinary from any other CBX seat. so to make a long story short he had to go thru the credit card co. to get his money back.
thats enough for me not to buy from corbin regardless of the quality.
customer service should not be compromised.
Me i bought mine from chum another member here, and paid less than half of a new one, for now its an upgrade from stock.

Keep an eye out on the other RC-51 sites and ebay.

| Re: SEAT! well, i've been scanning around for here for a while, but i might as well throw in my 2 cents now right?
i removed all the staples from my seat, cut down the stock foam just a little, and cut a memory foam pillow to fit. it's still an RC51, but it's noticeably more comfortable. |

| Re: SEAT! I know a guy who took his seat to a place that does memmory foam mattresses, and they replaced his stock 'hard hiney' foam with memory foam for about 30 bucks. He loves it now, so you could try that. I opted for the Sargents seat and I could ride that through the gates of hell....or the radiator ducts (same temperature) and still be sitting comfy! |

I am just not comfortable with putting the fabric back on. What ever I do its going to have to be fairly cheap cause I can not afford $300 for a seat right now. |

| Re: SEAT! try your local upholstry shops they are a great resource and should be cheap because it is so small. They should just take the whole seat and give it back done. |

| Re: SEAT! I did the memory foam thing too, works great. It's not perfect, but it's a nice improvement.
Oh, and just so I didn't have any down time if I messed it up, I just found a used seat for sale on one of the forums or ebay or something and bought it for like $35.
For those of you that got your suspension set up, how much did it run? I'm just looking for a ballpark in case I decide to do it I don't want to get ripped off.
And another thing that will help with the numb butt is to move around a little on the seat once and a while, change your position up. |

My old commute was on a nice highway, but now I get home and if feels like I've been sitting on an unbalanced washing machine for a hour |
