ANYBODY LIVE NEAR MINNEAPOLIS MN THATS HAS REMOVED PAIR SYSTEM AND FLAPPER VALVE? I AM A NEW OWNER OF A 00 RC-51. RECENTLY I STARTED TO ALTER MY BIKES EMISSIONS CRAP. FIRST STARTED WITH THE FLAPPER VALVE AND THEN AT SAME TIME WAS REMOVING PAIR SYSTEM. THOUGHT I GOT IT ALL DONE AND BIKE WON'T START! I THINK IT IS SOMETHING DUMB LIKE USUAL? WOULD LIKE ANY POINTER ON HELP TROUBLE SHOOTING IT. ALL APPEARS NORMAL BIKE CRANKS BUT NO START OR HICCUP OR ANYTHING ELSE. WHAT DID I FORGET, OVERLOOK OR FORGET TO DO? WOULD LOVE IF SOMEONE LOCAL COULD GIVE A HAND ON PHONE FIRST AND THEN IN PERSON IF NEEDED. THANKS

Re: ANYBODY LIVE NEAR MINNEAPOLIS MN THATS HAS REMOVED PAIR SYSTEM AND FLAPPER VALVE? Check out RC51.org Rogue website. They have really good how to section on there with pictures and descriptions. Just make sure you have everything blocked off that needs to be blocked off. Especially with the pair system removal.

Re: ANYBODY LIVE NEAR MINNEAPOLIS MN THATS HAS REMOVED PAIR SYSTEM AND FLAPPER VALVE? Thanks guys for help. Made my own block off plates so i won't ruin my with jb weld. cut hose short epoxy inside hose and clamp together with vice grips and let it sit once cured go to open side of tube and add smooth layer of epoxy to inside of tube for perfect seal. Now you have plugs to convert stock plates to block off style plates. I used a small compass to plug flapper diaphram and glued with black silicone to hide glue on black plastic. Works great no money spent on expensive parts just a little elbow grease and glue! NOW SHE BREATHS!!! Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions if ya need assistance. Thanks Tim

Re: ANYBODY LIVE NEAR MINNEAPOLIS MN THATS HAS REMOVED PAIR SYSTEM AND FLAPPER VALVE? Did you get it running? I have done the Flapper removal, as well as the pair removal on an 01 RC51. Not sure how much help I'd be but just thought I'd ask. My bike is completely naked so if you wanted to compare it ,it wouldn't be hard to see what I've done. I sound like a moron, but I can't remember that far back to when I removed the Pair solenoid and hoses.

Re: ANYBODY LIVE NEAR MINNEAPOLIS MN THATS HAS REMOVED PAIR SYSTEM AND FLAPPER VALVE? Yeah got it going was a stupid thing that happened when i put k&n filters on it pulled tank to high and knocked ground wire off fuel pump and fuel pump was not kicking in and priming like it should didn't hear sound so kept trouble shooting wiring and got it figured out. Thanks anyways though
