| Re: Brake Pads? Brakes for track behave differently than for street. When you're on the track, and hitting your brake points constantly, the material has to be able to hold up under tremendous heating - and stays hot. On the street, you need a wider range of properties because you need the brakes to bite at a wider range of temperatures (cold to hot).
So, unless you're 100% track (or squidly), look for pads made for the street. If you use track pads on the street, you'll find yourself not slowing down at the most inconvenient times (like Grandma turning left in front of you).
I've gotten pretty good results over the years with EBC pads. So, can't really offer opinions beyond OEM and EBC. |
