Muffler Hangars Where To Buy

I want to remove my stock passenger pegs on my 02 RC. I have Erion Racing cans also. Where should I look for aftermarkets? I can't seem to find them.

R&G make some nice ones too, Im getting those when the items above them on my list of mods/services are done.
Exhaust Hanger Honda SP1/SP2 EH0010

And they are a little more fair on pricing than Sato's.

Re: Muffler Hangars Where To Buy

Thanks you guys. I shot R-R racing an e-mail. RG racings design are gorgeous in black. Shipping to the states would be high. Kyle racing's are rediculous even if they are Ti. I do like the RG's though.....

Thanks again.

Re: Muffler Hangars Where To Buy

d.i.y.
I removed my pegs, designed my own, and a friend cut the blank at his prototype shop. I did the finish work, bought new hardware (not shown), and installed it. Not bad for under $10.
I experimented with different looks in the design phase, even trying to mimic the hole pattern in the heel guard. This one worked out the best.

Re: Muffler Hangars Where To Buy

I am getting ready to build "SATO" replica's out of stainless. I have the material for about 20 bucks.... after I get the jig built, and hangers built I will post some pics.

I looked around for nice looking hangers at a resonable price and never found any....

Re: Muffler Hangars Where To Buy

Let me know they turn out I'd be willing to buy a set. They are to simple to pay those high prices.

Will do, I will be getting them done with in the next few weeks. I have a few other projects that need attention before I can work on these... or so I have been told... LOL...

I agree that those prices are a little extreme. I feel that is because of the metal used. Titanium is very expensive to start with, and it looks like parts of them are welded at the bottom which is makes them even more expensive because of the difficulty to weld Ti. I think the environment has to be very controlled because of the amount of Magnesium in it, to hot and your part just burns...

Re: Muffler Hangars Where To Buy

This part is so small Aluminum or Stainless is fine. You are getting the initial weight savings from removing the passenger pegs and mounts anyways. I would rather see a quality stainless part that can handle the vibrations from the cans than some overly prices Ti piece that would fail from a bad weld.

Re: Muffler Hangars Where To Buy

Over Kill.... but I will use these for passenger pegs too...
I could have got by with smaller rod... live and learn... and I could have just run one rod out and split the brace on the mid section...
doesn't look bad though...

Re: Muffler Hangars Where To Buy

I actually had one on one side do to my mis calculation that I had to a touch up on the bodywork....

But- a learning experience... I more or less do a 90 degree bend, and then bring it over... I was happy with the stainless steel and after I sand blasted them they look factory...could easily be made differently...

I have had terrible experiences dealing him them. The owner Mark is a complete jerk. Terrible customer service and terrible carbon quality from what I have seen.
