| Sp1 Vs. Sp2 exhaust I have an '01 Rc51, one of the previous owners did extensive modifications to the engine. Including I was told installing newer D port cyl. heads. When I got the bike factory exhaust from an unknown model of RC was fitted.
Looking at pics online, it looks like SP1 exhaust has a detachable flange a few inches off the rear exhaust port. On an SP2 this is a welded attachment. The exhaust on my bike is has a weld at this point, I am guessing this means that I have SP2 exaust installed.
I have been looking into getting exhaust so I need to figure this out. Is this conection the best way to determine if I have an SP1 or SP2 exhaust? If not is there a better way? |

| Re: Sp1 Vs. Sp2 exhaust I don't think you can fit a SP2 dual exhaust around a SP1 swingarm, so that may help. |

| Re: Sp1 Vs. Sp2 exhaust I am 99% sure that the 2001 Yosh system will not fit on the SP2. However if you are looking to sell the system I might be interested. I have a 2001 SP1 as well. Later... |

if you get a chance post some pics and enjoy the Akras. |

| Re: Sp1 Vs. Sp2 exhaust It seems u can fit the sp2 system to the sp1 but not the other way round . also had to machine out head flanges from D port to round, not a major. Try to post some photo's on the weekend . |
