Anyone buy a Sato banzai exhaust recently???

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone bought a new sato banzai exhaust (carbon fiber cans) recently... and if so, can you post some pics of the cans. Just curious to how much different newer c/f cans look compared to "older" ones.

Yep I bought some Sato Banzai's recently but have them installed with low mounts. They are beautifully made and the sound is really booming with lots of bass I got them from Kyle Racing in San Diego and had them shipped overseas. Worked a treat....

I bought a set in January from Orient Express. How recent do they need to be? Pick up the August issue of Sport Rider magazine and turn to page 74 for a picture of my RC51 if you want to see how they look.

I have the Sato Ti low mids with the carbon Banzai mufflers and they are 4.5" shorter and a little over 1lb lighter.

Holy smokes that is one helluva good looking ride. Love the front discs. What are they? And what about the rear brakes?

The front are Brake Tech Axis iron race full floating rotors and the rear is a custom full floating rotor made to my specs and I'm running one of my custom rear underhung brake kits.

Damnnnn. That thing looks sweet. But the reason I asked for pics of the new cans is, I got a brand new set, ti mid pipes, cf cans banzai mounts and my cans don't have the "sato racing" plate riveted on to it. It does have sato racing on the end cap bands though. Oh well, I bought it from a legit seller (STG), I'll post some pics when I get a chance

I'm a dealer for Sato and I have gotten a set with no badges on them before, but I do have replacement badges and rivets for the cans.

Well that's cool then, i just never saw Sato's w/o the Sato Racing badge. But since you're a dealer and seen that before im not worried about it. On a side note, is it you that makes/sell carbon fiber exhaust guards???

Are the Ti mid mount link pipes still available at all? I have the low mounts but wonder if the mid mounts or hi-mounts would look better(not the banzai mounts)....Also I heard the carbon cans could disintegrate as for the very strong exhaust pulses from the V-twin. Anybody got an opinion on this?

huh, I thought that Sato did not make hi-mounts anymore, just low or banzai. As for the carbon cans, I read somewhere that they were proven to hold up to the pulses of the vtwin... have yet to hear of any cf cans busting up from that.

Re: Anyone buy a Sato banzai exhaust recently???

My Sato Banzia's are fairly recent and they have no badges on them. I expected the to have the badges on them but was pleasantly surprised to find mine had none. I like them without the badges on, gives them a better look in my opinion...

I'm with you on that... it makes it a bit stealth, if that's even possible with this exhaust

Don't the Banzi only come in high mount?

Re: Anyone buy a Sato banzai exhaust recently???

Sato used to make three configurations for the RC51. Low mount (stock location), High Mount (located between Low and Banzai), and Banzai Mount (which is super high)... They are now only making the Low and Banzai mounts.

Roughly 1100 USD if ordered from Kyle Racing in San Diego. They will ship them anywhere. They are ok but you have to follow them up. Kyle Racing that is. I like the exhaust though. Very loud and will get peoples' attention....
