| Re: Tires yeah I have done some mods. 15/ 41 gearing, PCIII, speedo healer, hid, and just carbon fiber bits. love it the way it is. there are places that do plastic body work repair. might have to search a bit in your area. or you can do it yourself. |

| Re: Tires First you hijack your own thread about tires to plastic then we are out to Satos, meanwhile your other plastics thread may be a few days old. For a supporting member you are not very supporting, imagine doing a search on tires through the forum and looking up all tire threads and reading about PC3 and plastic.
But since you seem new to forums you are allowed the benefit of improvement after you have been notified! |

| Re: Tires On an other bike I use as a commuter and camping tourer I have tried Pilor Road 2. They feel like they are on dry pavement, while cornering feels like a race tire on the dry. The center part on dry pavement seems to stay cool and in the initial part of leaning for entry gives a little feeling of insecurity but once you learn how they work they are great. People look at my rear and think it is new, after 5000mi. |

| Re: Tires ive used DC3's for the longest time and they stuck like glue but wore so darn fast i decided to try the bt-002 rs and so far, so good, although i may just spend the extra $60 next time and go back to the DC3's since the bt-002 rs are now being replaced by the bt-003 rs which will proly only be $30 cheaper than the DC3's.. either way the 954 is way faster than a rc51 so i guess it doesnt matter what tires i use as i'm puttin down like 1000 more hp to the rear wheel than you guys.. |

Originally Posted by Bigtoe The high torque of the RC51 will wear tires faster than an I-4. Unless you are spinning them up around every corner. | I disagree. Tires wear faster when they lose grip and spin instead of griping and not spining. One of the reasons V2 and big bang motors have an advantage is that they reduce the spinning screamer 4s are notorious of.
If you keep spinning the tire exiting corners your tire will overheat and lose even more grip. Big bang started long ago at GP500 and those bikes had less power than sceamers but they managed to turn faster laps and softer tires would last longer.
2009 R1s seem to perform better, the question now is how reliable a big bang engine is for street use. It is too early to know. |

It really shows when you down shift and the the back tyre drift(I am not dropping 2 gears at once either). I tried running it at slightly different pressure but still drift. It did not do this when it was new.
Anyone out there have this experience? |
