Re: Went down this weekend

Everyone goes down one time or an other, some more often than others. It is all part of learning that never stops, or shouldn't! Even Rossi goes down, should he switch bikes and ride a Honda?
Just because the guy had an accident, didn't say he went down because the RC was too hard to ride, doesn't mean he wants to ride something else!
For all we know he is day dreaming of trading it someday for a Ducati 1148R!

The only part of riding a late 4cyl SSport that makes it worth its money is on a long straight when you wind it out on 5th an see big numbers on the speedometer. Except for the track we all know that this can cost you major money and some jail time blues. The rest of the time the skill you can develop on the RC will put you miles ahead of any show off with an 09 CBR! It takes time and practice to utilize the capacity of ANY bike, having the latest and badest only means you have years ahead of you of practicing with it and customizing it to match your riding.
To top it all off, the RC only has 8valves to adjust, 8 or 12 less than the rest of the 1K 4cyl bikes. So there!

I agree on the going down part of it, It happens to the best and anyone on two wheels, But on the RC It does take a more experienced rider to exploit it, that does not mean a 4 cyl. is a better machine or the RC a lesser one.

Re: Went down this weekend

We have all heard that there are two kind of riders.. the kind that has been down the kind that will go down.. The RC is a very demanding bike.. But it all pays off when you open her up and hear that amazing evil twin.. I will always have a RC in the garage...

Hey, Setanta, how many would you say there are?

By the way, how dare you edit fine art and use it as an avatar!
