Re: sp1/sp2 swing arm sleeves

One thing that comes to mind is that you are putting a longer SwA on a bike that has a bit larger caster than the SP2, which apart from frame stiffness differences will slow the geometry down a bit. It may actually be an improvement in some areas but take away some of the good characteristics of the SP1. Maybe raising the forks up a bit may help but keep playing till you find your personal settings.
I don't know, but is the pivot shaft, width, and SwA internal diameter different from SP1 and SP2? I wonder if we can find out from parts fische.

Re: sp1/sp2 swing arm sleeves

Thanks zerogara for the advice, i think the weight saving is about 1kg and you are right it changes a lot of the geometry, i am running a ohlins rear which as more adjustment on it than you can get your head around.dropped the font forks through the yokes about 8mm,ohlins internals and a moriwaki shock linkage, the bike handles great but you are always looking for more, weight loss is a main concern also running carbon air box a huge saving and a 520 chain conversion and a must have a power com 3 usb
