if aluminum plates warp they would cause enormous drag and you most likely will never find neutral while the bike is stopped, otherwise they reduce inertia noticeably (engine will rev faster up and down). They will also wear faster and cause more residue in the oil, which means you should change oil and filter more often.

I have been running the Hyper plates aluminum clutch plates in my RC51 with a Yoyodyne slipper clutch for 2 years of 90% track and canyons with no problems at all.
