Whats with the silver bolt around the screen?
If I had any skills using Photo shop I would love to edit some of your pictures (make the surroundings black/white etc).

| Re: Just bought an RC51 :) Great bike. I just got back from visiting my wife's family in Mayo and Cork county. First trip in Ireland. We were treated like royality. I can't wait to return. If I could get used to driving on the left side of the road I'd rent a bike and ride. The best scenery I have ever seen. Stay away from those sheep in the hills that litter the roads.
I ride a 2002 RC-51 in between touring and dirt bikes. Watch the torque on those damp macadam roads.
One day I'll buy you a pint! |

| Re: Just bought an RC51 :) Non RC51 Content Just this weekend I thought about this, I remember a while back thinking if there still was a border between Ireland and the North till I saw a picture of a road on the border having no barriers what so ever, like switching counties.
So where and how does the switch take place between left/right/left direction of traffic?
Do you still have Ulster Pounds vs Normal Pounds up there? Quote:

Do you still have Ulster Pounds vs Normal Pounds up there? | There is still a border as Ireland and Northern Ireland are different countries. Whether they are controlled crossings with check-points I don't know - I suspect not. In mainland Europe the borders are pretty much uncontrolled, from what I know - at least between EU member states.
Both Ireland and Northern Ireland drive on the left (the correct side of course) so no problems there.
Ireland uses Euros now as currency, Northern Ireland uses £pounds sterling. |
