Should I buy a RC51?

I just sold my CBR 954 and looking for a replacement. I have always thought the RC51 was cool, but besides the fact that its a V-twin. What makes the RC51 so great?

Re: Should I buy a RC51?

It's just a totally different experience. The sound is absolutely addictive for one thing. If you do a search, you'll find tons of comparisons with both the good and bad.

I bought an '04, loaded it up with goodies, then sold it (see my avatar.)

A year later I missed it so much that I tracked it down to it's third owner and bought it back.

I didn't get to ride it much this year at all, so I'm actually toying with selling again. Not trying to jack the thread, so if you're interested PM me and I'll give it some thought.

Re: Should I buy a RC51?

When you get off thr RC and onto an other 4cyl sportbike you feel you are riding a boat. Skinnier than some 600s and steady as 1400cc Hypersport.
Buy less spark plugs!

The trick is to have a CBR and a RC-51.

I like how this guy thinks,........funny this thread came up because I have been tossing around the idea of picking up a RC51 myself, just to have a cool street bike that doesn't have to go supersonic ,I have always liked the RC although I only rode one once ,I have ridden my friends Ducati plenty of times to enjoy the twin........hmmmmm.

Re: Should I buy a RC51?

Don't ask what we think, just ride one for yourself and you will see what makes it so special. I have a 01 929 and an 03 954 and I am getting rid of my 929 to try to get an RC51.

Re: Should I buy a RC51?

I have owned my RC for about a yr or more now, by far the best sportbike that I have ever ridden. Trust me it will not let you down!!!.
To me there was no second thought in my mind before I bought the RC!!
