New Rider

Bet you thought I was some new guy that wanted to pick up an RC51 as his first bike! Actually, I USED to be that guy, but swallowed my pride, got an F2, rode that for a few years, AND THEN got an RC51

The bike is just epic. It revs poetry. I now know the feeling that Zeus has when creating thunder and lightning.

But, I have a few questions for all you experienced riders. Coming from the 4 cylinder F2, I was very used to being in 2nd-3rd gear when going 20-30 mph/etc, but when I ride the RC it almost laughs at me for trying to shift up into second unless I'm going at least 30-40 mph.

Will I just have to get used to using 1st/2nd gear on the street and wait till the track/highway to use all my other ones?

This question sounds extremely SQUID but I just thought I'd ask

ROGUE RC51 Common Gearing

Welcome and be careful. If you compare a torque curve of an F2 and the RC especially low to mid you will know what to be careful of, and also watch your downshifting to low gears going into tight curves.
