So What's Next?

Ok so in the works for my 02 are:

Valve Flapper Mod
Soft Rev Mod
PAIR Mod
Rear Hugger
Undertail

What's next?

Performance versus $ wise.... whats more bang for the buck a PCIII usb of a new airbox?

Or another suggestion?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Re: So What's Next?

I would recommend to start with the PCIIIUSB, it really helped mine (running lean with my Akrapovic slip-ons) and you will need it anyway if you get the airbox to get the fueling fixed.

US and Canada (North American) models had a "soft" rev limiter that retarded the ignition advance at 9200 RPM and decreasing power.

The rest of the world did not have this and their engines revved up to the "hard" rev limit of 10.2K RPM where the ECU cut spark to the cylinders.

The soft rev mod removes the soft rev limit and allows the engine to rev to it's full RPM capability like the Euro bikes.

Since HP is a calculation of torque and RPM, just allowing the engine to rev another 1000 RPM can add around 5 HP or more depending on other engine mods, state of tune, etc.

Full system + PC + Custom map made for the bike would give you the best performance gains without going to OTT.

Re: So What's Next?

I should have noted in the first place, I do hacve Yosh slips-on. Does anyone know (like have a spreadsheet) that compares the difference between a 'top of the line' full system and something like my slip-ons?

It looks like i'll probably go PCIII usb then airbox then...

Re: So What's Next?

Go to the rogue site mentioned above, it has dozens of dyno charts comparing exhausts. You want one that gives you a nice smooth linear curve.
