I want one Dangit!!
Ok,
So Ive had the itch for a while and now I want to act on it. I am wanting to find someone who wants to trade pretty much even my 01 929 for a RC. Since my 929 has 34K miles on it, Id like to get a 00 or 01 street RC or a 02 or 03 Track/race RC. Any of you know anyone wanting a 929? Even though it has 34K, it is in good shape and has been maintained well. If I cant find a trader, Ill wait until spring and sell the 929 outright then buy a RC.


Now as far as the year differences... I know 02 was a year of change including some of the geometry, the exhaust, oil cooler etc, but are they big enough to hold out to find a 02 in my price range or no?

If I had a choice between a modded 00/01 or a stack 02+, I would go with the modded bike. However stock to stock, an 02+ does have better geometry, better wheels, bigger throttle bodies and a host of other minor changes. To me, worth waiting if the "Right" 01 doesn't come along.

The '01 doesn't have spool mounts on the swingarm, keep that in mind. Yes the '02 is worth it. It handles better. I'd look for an '00 with good mods, or an '02 with or without mods.

I wish I could, its getting a trailer, and I need to get my butt in another suit. I sold my yellow suit one last year. this time I am going to get black and gray!

Actually, I was born in Columbus and lived there for a couple years. Now, I'm about 2 hrs north, in Wayne County.
