HRC racebike

hi guys im from the UK and currently own an SP2. however last week id heard of a brand new trackbike for sale through a friend of a friend.
turned up to a bloody big house with electric gates, get to the front door. the owners wife greets me and tells me to come in as the bike is kept in the house (at least they had their priorities in order lol)

sp1 is laid under a sheet, she pulls it back...... its only a HRC racer WTF!

it has the kit rev counter, carbon fibre snorkel, 'complete racer' akro exhaust system, full hrc carbon bodywork, kit rads...... most bolts are titainium...

its fair to say im very happy. in my excitement i paid my money and off i went. however on getting it home theres no wiring harness and a few other bits are missing so ill have to sort something. looking into the fuel injection bodies shows the blue caps which honda fit onto new engines so nothing drops in. it really has never been used.

in the uk theres a place called louth where the main hrc workshop is. ive spoken to them so they can confirm the bike for me as they originally built it.

the other problem is is that i wanted a tidy race bike to use. i dont think i dare use this so its going to be up for sale shortly. it either needs to go to a private collector or go to someone really into their sp1's and racing.

ill post some pics later today

Hanberg[DK] will become famous soon enough
Re: HRC racebike

Nice looking bike for sure. How about some more close-ups?

A few things that looks a bit odd though:
PAIR system still fitted
Looks like OEM SP1 brakes and m/c
SP2 on fairing when its a SP1
Thought the HRC tailfairing had different mount-points?

Re: HRC racebike

yes it is an sp1, it was painted to comemerate colin edwards victory. it was a year behind if you like.
as far as im aware it it doesnt however i im not a total expert on these. i think its the difference between proper factory bikes and what we were sold.
again im really not sure on the brakes and forks as i thought they ran the standard kit with different internals. if you wanted ohlins etc you would have to buy them yourself. they didnt come with the standard bike. its a kit bike and not a factory racer.
im sure theres some higher spec private bikes but this is just as honda intended.

HRC uk will be able to confirm its build. i searched for more info on these bikes but nobody seems to have actually seen one that hasnt already been chopped and changed about.
i'll get some more nice pics tomorrow for you guys.
as for a price im looking for 10k gbp.
just the 'basic racer' was 15,000 dollars.

yes i know its expensive but its brand new, never been used and most of the hrc bits people have only ever seen pics of
