VTR thou firestorm

hey guy's.

I was looking to buy a firestorm the other day.
I took it for a test ride around the block, (but without tax, and the police station up the road it wasn't a good idea to go too far).

Anyway in 1st and 2nd gears, it was very chuggy whilst riding. I dont mean a V-twin chuggyness, but more of a lurching feel to it.

Do they all do that?
or was it just too cold? Or was something wrong?

. The temp gauge wasnt off the stop.
. chain was in good condition and adjusted fine

Also what are they like to live with as a;
sunday rideout bike?
1 or 2 trackdays a year?
commuting?
touring?

Re: VTR thou firestorm

The VTR is a good bike for everything. The lurching forward may have been because it was cold, but I think something else was going on. When I had my VTR the only time it was lurching/chuggy was when it was at very low rpms.

Gothy, sounds like it may have either been cold or maybe has slipons w/o new jetting...

The Firestorm or Superhawk is a great bike for commuting once you replace the front an rear shocks and put some nice brakes up front...but if you want a track monster go with the RC51...RC
