Please help me:

I need info on Honda 1100 Goldwings (81 - 85 models): How reliable are the motors - what whould a good price be etc. Any info.

And pleeze no porn - I'm a preacher - really!

Hey Wynand,

Generally, the GL1100 motors are bullet proof. I've sold many of them with 70, 80, 90+ thousand miles on them with no problems. Like any other used vehicle, you're going to want to check it out first, listen to it run, look at the oil, ride it if you can-if not see if someone can ride it for you around a parking lot or something so you can see and hear it shift thru the gears under load.
Most of these older GL's will smoke a bit on start-up, which should go away when they warm up...this is somewhat typical. Also, older Honda brakes tend to freeze up and stick....also typical and is usually solved by a good cleaning.
