| Re: My new baby! Beautiful bike Rick,
and nice pad too. I heard the ST-1300's are really good for long rides - if i'm not mistaken one of the Iron Butt competition riders used it - and won?! Its been a while since I've read the article.
Cheers.

So, uhh, when are we going out for a little top-tourer competition, you know, on a "closed course"? |

You guys laugh, but K9 almost had me convinced to go test with his dept... My only reason that I didnt was the rather balmy summers there.... Hell, I havent completely ruled it out.

Yes, we are hiring down here! We will be testing again in July or August for 10 positions if everything goes right. Starting salary is around $41,000 a year, no experience needed. Laterals start at around 44,000 a year. Dudes, we are hurting for officers! |

Some do, some dont... Most small PDs dont require one, where larger ones require either an associates degree or at least 60 hours toward a Bachelors. 4 years of military/other LEO experience can sub for college here. Pretty much any Fed job requires a full degree and Grad school never hurts.
