It's even got a place for Bacchus to ride/sleep when you finally drag him to the track.

My father just bought an identical dark blue '04 with ABS but he's 55 years old so he has an excuse. I guess if you still have your blade you can be forgiven.

Re: My new baby!

Beautiful bike Rick,
and nice pad too. I heard the ST-1300's are really good for long rides - if i'm not mistaken one of the Iron Butt competition riders used it - and won?! Its been a while since I've read the article.

Cheers.
Alex.

Congrats!

So, uhh, when are we going out for a little top-tourer competition, you know, on a "closed course"?

Nobody likes a show-off OHOH, everyone knows what manufacturer's tourer is the fastest.

You guys laugh, but K9 almost had me convinced to go test with his dept... My only reason that I didnt was the rather balmy summers there.... Hell, I havent completely ruled it out.

Re: My new baby!

Thanks guys for the complements! I rode the ST1300 the other day for 250 miles and didn't even stop for gas! I still have a quarter tank left!

Yes, we are hiring down here! We will be testing again in July or August for 10 positions if everything goes right. Starting salary is around $41,000 a year, no experience needed. Laterals start at around 44,000 a year. Dudes, we are hurting for officers!

Totally off topic, but oh well. Do PDs require degrees for someone to be an officer?

Some do, some dont... Most small PDs dont require one, where larger ones require either an associates degree or at least 60 hours toward a Bachelors. 4 years of military/other LEO experience can sub for college here. Pretty much any Fed job requires a full degree and Grad school never hurts.
