| BANG! How is this a good idea? I think I'd prefer to be thrown clear of the bike.
Wouldn't this obstruct your vision and throw your hands clear of the controls? WHat activates it? Is it a crush sensor like a car? |

| Re: BANG! Did you ever smack body parts on the motorcycle as you did?
I have a friend who came up short on a triple jump. His front wheel went into the face of the third jump. Though he had a pad on the cross bar (and a quality full face helmet), he broke his nose and lost a couple of teeth (which went through his lip) when he hit it.
I hit a rock hidden in brush at around 50 MPH on a YZ 80. I don't remember anything but flying through the air followed by flip after flip....rocks-sky-rocks-sky...
When you collide with something on a bike, you aren't in control. Being able to use the controls after a hard frontal impact is an academic question...you aren't going to be there to use them anymore. |
