And he wasnt the slowest! |

| Re: Would you stuff someone on the inside? Those things can be fairly swift in capable hands....
Jason Pridmore tells a story about his dad not being able to catch a guy riding a Goldwing during wet sessions....turned out he was a Honda eval rider....

| Re: Would you stuff someone on the inside? A friend of mine has a pic of himself on a Wing in his race leathers at T-Hill, and he certainly is far less scary than many people I've shared the track with.
And yeah sure, I'd still try to stuff him if he insisted on using the whole track.

| Re: Would you stuff someone on the inside? nope I wouldn't. It's not a race, only a trackday. Most schools have rules for passing anyway, and in some cases aren't enforced
I think it's great that guys on wing/st's/cruisers are starting to attend. That is really awesome and true testament to a great sport. |

That is really awesome and true testament to a great sport. | There was a girl on a BMW cruiser at the last track day I attended at WSIR. She was in the novice group and was very slow and took up the whole track.....not a good combination. I feel they should be allowed in the slow group as long as they are curteous and stay midtrack and in..... |

Most schools I've been to, like both Pridmore's, will tell you straight up, not to use the whole track to keep from causing problems. And that if you're using the whole track to cut 2 minute laps at Laguna, someone's gonna stuff you (as you deserve).
BTW, the stuff I'm referring to, and that most trackday riders would whine about, would be a courteous pass on the race track...ie pass on the inside, with room for both, even if it's close. Trading paint (a racer's version of " stuff " )on a trackday is bad form no matter what.

| Re: Would you stuff someone on the inside? You will see more non-sportbikes at a school like CLASS where they market to wider range of riders. I've seen all sorts of cruisers, tourers etc at CLASS events, and only in one case was there a problem. There was a guy a couple of years ago on a Harley, can't remember the model, maybe a Heritage....anyway, it was so limited by ground clearance that it kept his corner speed way down. It caused too large of a speed differential to be safe...
For the most part though, the touring bikes will do okay in a novice group if the rider is conscientious.....

As long as the turd bikes stay in Grp B/C no worries to me |
