| NEWBIE GSXR convert> Hi ALL, just thought I'd post & say hello, "Hello".
Picked up my CBR929 2001 in black today. Traded my GSXR 750 K1, got a good deal. Rode home in UK weather ie raining/cold wind and what can I ay very impressed with the bike, even pulls well in top gear. 165 mph in the wet, that'll do nicely. Now looking at steering dampers, rotary type any preferences for Scott or GPR? Needs a double bubble screen though again any recmds?
Roll on August for our Nurburgring trip.
Cheers Bill |

| Re: NEWBIE GSXR convert> If it's between the two, I'd say Scott's. I had a GPR and sent it back because it was manufactured incorrectly and I couldn't even get it on the bike. I've only heard good things about Scott's on this board, a search will get you tons of info. Fabbri or Puig also seem to be the highly recommended screens. My Scott's damper and Puig windscreen should be in sometime this week.
Oh, and welcome

Go with a Scotts if you want a rotary damper or an Ohlins if you prefer a linear type.

| Re: NEWBIE GSXR convert> 165 in a staight line, so no problem. That is only the indicated speed though! Will have to do some work with my garmen gps to get a true figure and it was only damp, lol.

| Re: NEWBIE GSXR convert> Hello and welcome from another convert, sorta. Started w/ Honda, ran astray for a while, now back to Honda! Scotts for sure, ordered it before I brought the bike home. And like everyone else, probably putting a Puig DB on it. |
