| Hi everyone Hello, I have just joined this site today and am writing to say hi.
My story is, I have a 95 Urban Tigerblade. The bike was immaculant, it has 20000km as is a jet. I absolutly love it, until about a week ago. I was on a ride with a few mates, approaching a fast sweeper at about 220km/h, eased off and squezed the brakes slightly, took off just enough speed to take the corner, was down to about 180km/h, leaned the bike into the corner, then my worst nightmare, gravel on the road, the rear stepped out, I picked the bike up but due to the speed this shot me straight onto the shoulder, which was all gravel and ****. The bike then went into a massive tankslap and through me off. I was sliding along the side of the road, the bike went past me and hit a large boulder which was off the road, this destroyed the front of the bike and caused it to change direction and flip. The bike landed on me. We continued to slid and I managed to push the bike off me. I then came to a stop. God was with me because I didn't break anything but I am very sore and bruised. And the bike, well, she needs alot of attention. If anyone has any parts for sale I may be interested.
Anyway thats my story, and I can't wait to get the blade back on the road, I think they are an awsome bike, and even though I'm still recovering I miss my bike. If you guys can help me git it back on the road, It would be much appriciated.
Thankyou,
Urban Tiger |

| Re: Hi everyone Oh man, you jacked up the original Urban Tiger plastics???
J/K, glad to hear you're okay. I had a similiar experience once, bike landing on me and all. Didn't break anything either (you gotta love guardian angels), but it took me a week to be able to kick my leg over my wifes bike and ride (I had to get back on the horse, so to speak).
I learned really quick, the road ain't the track. So now I've slowed down to a "reasonably quick" pace, not the "fast" pace I was used to before. I've learned to enjoy this pace a lot more now, where before I would have been just warming my tires.
And hey, it's fun to be "quick".
Anyway, , and for parts, do a once over and let the .org know what you're looking for. I'm sure plenty of the people here can point you somewhere. |

| Re: Hi everyone Thanks for the replies, and oh, don;t worry, I will be slowing down (abit) But I have to get the bike back on the road again first. I've managed to get back on a bike again. I've been riding around my wifes CBR250. But it just feels gutless. I can;t wait to get my old girl back on the road. Anyway parts that i need are, front forks, axle, screen, dash, fairings and tank. Some of my fairings are actually not to bad and just need a paint job, but the nosecone and middle fairings are smashed, the tank has a large dent and may be able to be repaired, but I would like a new one. I also need a headlight. At this stage I will be looking through the auctions to buy another blade (complete bike) for parts, but if anyone has any of the parts listed I would be interested. I would like to buy a full fairing set in origional colours?
Anyway, thanks again for the replies. |

Glad to hear that you escaped with no major injury.
As everyone has said before, keep the speed to the track, it is alot safer |
