| New CBR 954RR owner????? Hey,
Quick question to all, i currently own a 2002 CBR 600F4i which I will be trading for a 2003 CBR 954RR plus a grand 1/2. How good are the 954s, they look sweet and right strong. Are the 954 known to have any faults? MY 600 is excellent, I just want to know why did Honda stop making them to make the 1000RR? The 954 looks sweeter. Let me know what you all think. |

| Re: New CBR 954RR owner????? well to basically save you a bunch of searching in here. never really heard anyone here say they hate them even the above guy who blew up his engine. I've heard its a little twitchy compared the 929 but I don't think its enough to say its anything bad. You'll love the power compared to that F4i. And I personally like the riding position of the 929 and 954 much better than the F4i. And the 954 is more comfortable than the 929.
I think you'll love it, go buy it now.

| Re: New CBR 954RR owner????? Welcome from another NJ rider! You'll love the 954 if you liked your 600. Hondas are great! My 929 does it all...trackdays, Sunday twisties, long weekend trips. |

| Re: New CBR 954RR owner????? I don't think you'll be disappointed with the 954. Adding a damper took almost all of the twitchiness out of the bike for me. Awesome power, handling, and relatively comfortable.
I'm only selling mine so that I can get something heavier, slower, and less comfortable.
Maybe you should keep the 600 just in case, and buy a nice used 954. I'm not that far away.

| Re: New CBR 954RR owner????? Strange thing is my 929 does not kick the heat out at the inner & tender part of my legs as the 954. Obviously with a larger rad then the heat has to go someplace. Still I am not quibbling for I love them both.
Still with protective riding gear then the heat is not noticed. Try it with jeans & you will know your under legs are being roasted.

| Re: New CBR 954RR owner????? you may want to someone look at the suspension, mine had a soft front end. Once I had that fixed up( new springs and valving) I had a hard time trading it. Still miss it some days |

Other clubs in our area are Nesba and Team Promotion. There's a couple of others that run a limited number of days, Champion Sportbike Club and NY Sportbike club. You have to belong to a club to do days. All the ones I mentioned run at Pocono Raceway, PA, among other places. Any other questions, feel free to PM me! |

| Re: New CBR 954RR owner????? I find the overall handling is better then the 954 and the power comes on differently with the 1000 but not a whole lot more. The 954 is a great bike and I'm sure you'll love. |

| Re: New CBR 954RR owner????? Congrats man, I have only been on one but I definately liked it a lot. I prefer the looks of it to my 1krr as well.
I will never give in and like underseat exhaust. Throw a steering damper on that thing and have a ball. |
