be careful on that badboy its a handful for a beginer. keep your right wrist down, that'll help with not grabbing too much throttle.

| Re: new member - 01 929RR Everett washington thanks for the tip I will do that, I haven't ridden it yet and am slightly nervous to ride it.
It seemed like anything smaller then the 929 is right about 500$ cheaper in my area. The 600's seem to be incredibly popular right now I couldn't let myself spend about the same amount on less of a bike. |

I've went out a few times with my older brother (he rides a hayabusa and let me ride his old sv650) we did some crazy stuff especially on my first time riding. He let me borrow it for a few weeks but I probably only have MAYBE 1K miles riding experience on a bike, I picked it up really quickly or so I think. I felt really comfortable on the bike when I was riding it (not the 929) and I've only ridden his hayabusa once and it was parking lot style riding. |

| Re: new member - 01 929RR Everett washington Ok guys, I just got off the phone with my bro, he picked up the bike for me says its in excellent condition...
BUT he says I should not ride the bike..so basically I have a 5500$ machine I bought and paid for and cant ride? He said that on the highway it is too unstable and he almost wrecked it himself. I thought these were suppose to be some badass handling bikes? I've talked to a few other people that the 929 was their first bike and they didnt seem to have much difficulty with it.
Any comments?
Sorry im just a bit frustrated here. |

He is used to an 01 hayabusa so I guess since they are heavier with bigger tires might be a bit better in those conditions?
The bike has obviously never been down and well taken care of + service records -- he says it is in excellent condition.
I rode it to work today (maybe 5-6 miles) got it up to 70 without a worry at all so im not sure what he is talking about. I know 70 is nothing to you guys but I am trying to be really safe, i dont think i got passed 6-7K rpms the whole drive. |
