Just joined site, lots of good topics, enjoy reading them. Can anyone suggest a new combination chain and sproket set up for 05' 1000rr. I love the bike, but hate the take off! Need to get it ready for next year! Thanks

Re: New Member; 1000rr chain and sproket

The Sierra Club and SUWA - ****ing over the Mountain West for all past, current and future generations.
They have a new law suit almost weekly here in Utah. Thankfully we have local legislature that isn't completely ruined by the fringe left, so the people win most of the time.
This in particular really pisses them off: http://www.utah.com/offroad/paiute_trail.htm , yet the people that actually use the PUBLIC lands locally are now raising more money than they are. We can fight them step for step, and keep winning.

In Michigan they consider a cat without a collar a varmit and thus always in season, and yet we still let lawyers run free

Go to a 15 tooth drive-sprocket. That perks it right up. CHeap, easy DIY mod.

A lot of guys convert to a 520 chain but I just think they look way too dainty... like a bicycle chain almost.

You won't hurt a quality 520 chain, it's a good mod.
