Hello From North Texas

Just wanted to say hello since I have been reading these posts the last few days and decided to join up.I appreciate the info so far and looking to set my new to 2001 CBR929RR up the way I want it. I street bike riding on Honda V4s in the mid 80s and still have 2 V65 Magnas and one VF1000R but after riding with a buddy and his GSXR 1K figured it was time to get a newer sport bike and Honda was the only choice for me and considering this has never been down with 14K at 5K I couldn't say no.Look forward to learning more and making new friends.Take care

Gil

Don't do it! I know this'll offend a bunch of people on here but 929's are disposable bikes compared to a classic V4 like that one.

Cool 'Ceptor.

Agreed, unless the 929 turns into a classic one day, as it was the first significant make over of the 900rr.

Welcome! Nice bikes! Is that a '67 Chevelle in the background?

Re: Hello From North Texas

i know that is why I have not advertised it yet will see what I can do over the winter and possibly keep it and may sell one of my 2 V65 Magnas in the spring,I am just grateful to have this dilema. Take care and don't know how close you are but I do a BBQ every year for 4 days including a Dyno day so if you have no lans the first week in June love to see you and anyone else wanting to make the trip.

Yes it is a 67 Chevelle SS shell with a 411 12 bolt posi just waiting for me to remove the body and start the resto,I have collected all the parts I need from 396/375HP BB to air conditioned dash and 15x8 Rally rims so I am just finishing up all my bike stuff and will start on it,hopefully be done by next fall.

Re: Hello From North Texas

I agree about holding on to the classic Interceptor. And that Chevelle sounds like it will be tasty as well.
