New 929 Owner

I just brought home a 929 that needs some love. I rode her as much as I could for the test drive, pulls nice. Here are a couple pictures. As you can see from the damage, I need a few parts. If you have any, please don't hesitate to send me a message.

Here is one of my other bike, a TL1000R, which is soon to be gone

Sorry, I don't know how to put the photos in the thread.
The 929rr should be looking a lot prettier in a few weeks

No, I'm pretty sure they top out around 165mph. Maybe 200kph?

The right side control pod is smashed to bits, the kill switch had to be jumped to test ride it. The front master cylinder broke, the tube that attaches to the hose from the resevoir. I've already got one of those on the way. The Upper is pretty beat up. I'm going to JB Weld it and repaint it until I can find a low priced replacement. And it needs a windscreen; I think I'm going to get a Zero Gravity Clear DB. Other than that, it just needs a shine and some elbow grease. Oh, and a replacement slider. I think I'm going to repaint it next month. Any Ideas for a good looking spray? I thought black, but the tiller has been totally blacked out for a while and I'm ready for something a bit more lively.

Re: New 929 Owner

Has anyone ever modded their stock can? I'm thinking of cutting it open, changing the baffles, and making it into a shorty. And polishing out the rash of course.

Re: New 929 Owner

It looks like you have a serious project there.
You're gonna have a super nice bike when it's all done. I like the 929.

By the way - I'm glad you're getting rid of the "Tiller".
Is your's purple? Do you have it listed on E-bay? Are you sure it won't do 202MPH plus?

Re: New 929 Owner

I hope to have a killer bike within a month.

I saw that tiller on ebay, the guy selling it must either be full of shite or delusional.
