Introducing....ME

Been lurking around here for a few weeks and I just sent in my deposit for Grattan, so.....I figured I should just man up and introduce myself.
My name is Matt. Live in Phoenix (that's pronounced P-ho-nix). Started riding in August of 2004 on an 03 honda f4i (Great bike). Did my first track day on it at Firebird raceway in February 2005 and got hooked. Now I'm a full on crack day addict race license and all. Too damned expensive to actually race much though.
Bought an 05 Yamaha R1 in Feb 2005 and rode it down the California coast twice last year before selling both street bikes for my new ride.
An 03 Honda 600 RR with all the race toys except a slipper clutch. Love my bike and redoing the body work, hehe.
Been a part of the Phoenix Sportbike Club since I started riding where I met K9 and Nickelii (you begin to understand how strange I must really be). Had some great group rides before retiringthe road.
Look forward to riding with you guys and girls (are they running a pink group at Grattan?). Hopefully someone can help me learn to adjust the suspension while we're out there. Three solid days means lots of time to come on and off and adjust.
Anyone else camping out at the track?

Matt

P.s. Did I mention I took first place last trackday ahead of Nickelii

Welcome Traumattic

Listen up people. Here is a gentleman that signs up for Grattan and introduces himself on the same day. I'm trying to think of something a bit more emphatic than SLACKERS . . .

You snooze, you lose. We are filling up at this point and if the California contingent makes a move, spots will be scarce.

the pay is only ok, nothing great. I did get my key and code for the alarm today. I didn't want it though cause now I have to be there even earlier on some days, 5:30 am. that really should be illegal.

Dude I'm Canadian. Cold is not an obstacle. Besides being frozen has advantages. For instance it's harder for your butt hole to pucker up and swallow your seat after almost highsiding if... it's frozen stiff, hehe.

Trauma, are you in the healthcare field or just like messes?

Thanks for the welcome and the newby thread jack, I feel comfortable already No one expects good behaviour from a bunch of bikers.

oh in that case we already have someone similar to you, ReaperAZ. He moved from NH to AZ a few years ago. you can leave now we're all full up of cold weather deserters.

j/k you can stay. watch out Aussies, the AZ contingent seems to be growing and might start to outnumber you soon.
