AWESOME!!! Are you going to use your own bike on the track or renting the Suzuki's from the school? If I trailer down, I'm going to use my own bike (which was a tough sell considering that Schwantz only authorizes the use of Suzuki's for his school) but if I have to ride, then I'll probably rent a bike so that I have something to ride home, just in case I get carried away.

The members of the planning committee worked very, very hard to get that skills day included in the conference, so I'm really glad that there's people already registered to participate. And we'll have to hook up previous to the Monday for sure - there's some absolutely amazing roads there. I was there in November of '05 for the planning meeting in Athens and we borrowed a couple bikes from a local distributor. We headed up into the mountains for a day after our meetings were done. I was blown away!

I'm really starting to get exciting about heading down there - can you tell? LOL

For the skills day, we're using our own bikes, not a tough sell, the Skills Day is different than their regular school. There's no requirement to use a Suzuki for the Women's Skill Day, even cruisers are actually welcomed.
Since the days work out so perfectly, we are also signed up for the regular school on July 4 & 5, and we'll be required to use their bikes for that.

We'll definitely hook up prior, you can show us some roads in the Athens area. We're heading down a week early to ride Deals Gap the Tues and Wed prior to the conference.

The "tough sell" was convincing Schwantz that he needed to allow the other makes for this skills day. WOW you guys have a wicked trip planned. I'm jealous.

Are you going to be in Deal's Gap for the women's rally there in August?

Really? By the time I started asking Marnie about the Skills Day, it was already decided to allow any brand/type. Odd, wonder why he'd want just Suzukis for this type of day (other than the obvious ) and then went from that to allowing cruisers. Just Suzukis would have seriously limited the number attending. Whatever, it should be a lot of fun and we're looking forward to it!

We won't be making the women's rally in August, although I did read about it on cycleforums. We won't have time to get down there a second time this year, although we'd love to.
