Hi
I am new to the forum and thought it would be polite to say hi. I have just purchased a 96 Blade that is nice and straight but has high km's. My excuse is it was CHEAP!. I had sold my speed triple two years ago and i was a shell of a man without a bike. So this was the most bike i could get for the bucks. I have always had a thing for Blades,so it was a match made in heaven.

This looks like the bible for all things Honda, so here i am. Let the mod's begin! I plan on just doing the usual upgrades to make an already great bike that little bit better.

If anyone has the same model and has any advice, please feel free to contact me. I am trying to source a pipe for it but they are bloody expensive new!! $7-900 just for an end can!!

So hello again and thanks for reading my inane babble.

G'day Mate,

Welcome to the site. A couple of bikes ago I had a ZXR750 1989. I found it quite cheap to source parts from motorcycle wreckers. Picked up a good exhaust from Metropolitan Motorcycle Spares on Silverwater road in Silverwater, Sydney. Depending on which state you are from you will probably find some good wreckers around. Definitely worth calling around and maybe even dropping down to see them when you have time. Take the bike with you if you can to be sure of the fit / stud pattern.

Cheers,
Dave aka ICHSNOO

Re: New Aussie Member

Thanks for the welcome. I sourced a Moriwaki end can for $A250 which was a bargain so i am happy. It has 115000km on it and at its major service it only took 3 shims and doesnt even look like needing a cam chain or tensioner. Gotta love Japanese reliability. The guy i bought it off used it to commute between the central coast and Sydney hence it had alot of highway km's. Funny i always thought thats what you say when you are flogging off a high km shitbox! but every now and again it turns out to be true!!!!
