Hello. Glad I've found this bunch of nuts.
First thread. Just registered.
I bought an 05 cbr1000rr with 3100 miles. I'm having a great time with the bike but (there's always a but when you buy a used bike in my experience) the previous owner changed the rear sprocket to a 42, possible the front one also. The bike works great but the speedometer is fast by about 20 miles/h. Is there a way to adjust it other than changing the sprockets back to original ones?

Yep. Even without the sprocket changes all these sportbikes seem to be about 3-5 mph fast... Very annoying.
