Hi and please help

Hi to all fellow bike lovers.
I have just purchased a 96 Fireblade RRT and it chatters on accelleration up until around 5000rpm.
I was told by the chap I bought it off that they all do this, it's the carbs
It sounds like it could be valves or similar but I'm no mechanic.
Has anyone else had this noise, the bike has only done 10,000 miles (honest guv).
Any comments or help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Johnny B

Cam chain adjuster needs to be replaced.
Cheap and easy job. All of a half hour.
