Introductions and Greetings

Good morning,

I would like to introduce myself,

I am new to the board but not new to hot rods and turning wrenches.

I plan on doing all the work on her myself so I will contribute DIY write ups when aplicable.

I will be picking up my 02 954 this weekend. It has 9110 miles on it and I am paying $5500 for her. The bike is in decent condition with the only flaw being a crack in the headlight lens (rock?).

This will be my first bike in almost 10 years. I built and rode a 1973 350CL for about a year when I was in college. I plan on ridding her to work a few times a week, nothing really adventurious or squidly.

First up for bat with me on the bike is maintenance.

oil change,
chain cleaning
coolant change, going evans
air filters
steering dampner install.

Other then that I am just going to ride her.

One question, how can I tell if the recall has been done? Thanks for the info and I will post pics when I get her.

Sincerely,
Gigolo Jason

There was never a recall for the 954. If you are talking about the steering stem downgrade, then you will have a puch mark next to your VIN stamped on the steering head.
