Another New 954rr Fireblade Owner

Hi All

Just a quick one as I finally got on but it is now midnight here (Canberra, ACT Australia).

Have had this bike for 4 years now and have done 39,000 fantastic kilometres. Attend most Australian WSBCs and MotoGPs over this period at Phillip Island which involves about 900kms each way of country roads over the Snowy Mountains on the east coast. For those not familiar with the name they are the range of mountains between New South Wales on the Central Coast of Australia and Victoria the South Eastern state.

Intend travelling down soon for the next MotoGP in September at Phillip Island. It will be our last 1000cc GP before the 800cc are introduced next year.

In preps have purchased and will fit a new chain and sprockets (from Chain Gang in Queensland, the sprockets - very nice lazer cut stainless and tricky). Will post a picture once fitted. This is the first chain replacement mind you and it is still in reasonable condition, well oiled and cleaned.
Bike will be due valve clearance check on our return and I will be interested in any posts on this subject when I get back. Those shims are expensive arn't they and 16 valves, yyyyuk.
