| Hello from the Philippines Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I've been reading some info here on the 929 as I'm considering getting one by January (still a long time, I know). Actually, I'm still weighing options and comparing it to a 99-00 R1, as most bikers i ask for an opinion from gives it to the R1.. the look probably makes it for them. But I'm kinda likin' the 929 from feedbacks of it being tamer. Anyway, I ride an '87 Kawa GPX750R, up from a 92 Suzuki Bandit 250 and a 94 Honda CB400SF SuperFour. Safe Ride to you all. |

I am still interested in the 929 vs R1. I really like my 929 it's a great bike!
Seems like alot like the R1, too, still not sure that I won't change. |

Seems like alot like the R1, too, still not sure that I won't change. | i've tried riding my friend's R1 around a gas station and it felt so different, well coming from a sport tourer riding position i expected a difference but not that much. It felt like I was ahead of the bike, and initially felt like my face was close to the ground. Anyway, it felt awkward. I haven't checked on here if there's any thread comparing the two. Guess I'll do that now |

Feel the same way going from the WR (dirtbike) back to the R-1. Only takes a second to adjust. |

I've been to Cebu and Mactan Island many times. Always enjoy the snorkeling and diving. |
