UK fireblade rider relocating to Australia seeks advice

Hi I will be living in Australia and am curious where I am likely to find other like minded fireblade (or similar) riders to socialise/ride with etc....there is quite a good social side to that here in the uk and would be seeking something similar in the NSW area? Any advice or information would be gratefully welcomed.....Many thanks

Don't go!! It's sunny all the time, empty windy roads, doesn't rain much, huge empty beaches, friendly inhabitants. You'll hate it. Move somewhere better like Rotherham, or Dagenham maybe.

G'day and welcome!

Don't forget that we have great beer with bubbles too! :p

Here's my advice: Any aftermarket parts that you EVER wanted to buy for your bike......buy them BEFORE you come here! Just look on ebay.com.au compared to Ebay UK and you'll see the limited range of what's available. Plus things are more expensive here too.

When I moved back from Detroit last Christmas, I totally regret not getting all the things I wanted for my bike before I left. There's a much larger range, at considerably lower prices.

As to riding groups/events.....I'm from Melbourne so I don't know what there is to do in NSW. Sorry. But you can join the Honda Riders Club (Red Riders I think it is called) and they do lots of events. You may want to ride down to the Moto GP at Phillip Island here in Victoria. That always draws a huge crowd.

You can also log onto Netrider - Connecting motorbike riders in Australia. News, Forums, Links, Classifieds, Articles, Events Calendar, Merchandise, and more... which will tell you what's going on in your area.

Are you bringing your bike with you? How long are you coming for?
