Hi From Thailand

Hi All,

I've not long taken delivery of a 2006 CBR 1000 RR in Thailand (I'm originally from Scotland) and am finding it hard to get bits and pieces that I want other than mail order from UK.

Are there many more blade owners in Thailand and can you help with local suppliers? I guess Bangkok has some good dealerships and aftermarket suppliers but I'm down in Phuket and it's not always easy to get up there that often.

A couple of questions for starters:

1. Sigma versus Suter for a slipper clutch?

2. Castrol R4 versus Fuchs Silkolene Pro 5W-40?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: Hi From Thailand

Welcome to the mad house.

I have not run a slipper clutch, but have run Castrol R4 and found it to be a good oil. It is expensive but good. You can do a search on here and find many pages on oil threads and get yourself more confused that you ever thought possibe about motorcycle oil .
