another nube

Hey everyone. I decided to join the forums after searching google for some body work for my F3. It looks like lots of dedicated members are willing to help this community grow, which I look forward to.

I own a '96 CBR600F3 with a custom Ghost Flame paint job (fade orange to purple, black undertone) and been riding street for about a year and a half. It's my first street bike, but I've ridden offroad for 17 years or so.

I'll be 21 in a couple of days and let me say I can't wait to get my bike back on the road in the spring. Anyway, it's good to be here and I hope to get to know some of you.

Anybody in Detroit area?

nice, any pics of the bike? if you do post em' up. i had a bike but totalled it. ill be getting one in like march. dont be drinkin and drivin when you hit 21. i had a friend who wasnt very fortunate doing that.

I'm looking to do some major beauty work to it this spring. I'm on the lookout for all new body work or a nice body kit and then I'm going to paint it with a matte black and highlight some features with chrome red. Does anybody know where I can get a chrome red exhaust pipe?

i think micron will prob be the closest thing to chrome red

did you do it? if so, hit me up with a PM. i live in southWEST michigan bro and id probably be willing to have ya do some painting on my bike if your intrested? if you didnt paint it who did?

truthfully, because last season it saw a lot of damage. the job cost $4000 and there's no way in hell i'm paying that much again to get it redone or fixed up on a '96 bike. between stupid people in the street hitting the bike, fairings flying off on the highway, and people backing out of their drive way and knocking it over it just got too ugly to keep.

though it's an extremely nice paint job and definitely one of a kind, i never really cared a lot for it. i got the bike from my brother who had it painted.

i just wanna personalize it a bit to my liking.

yea the first 3 pics were taken before the damage, but the last one showing the gas tank was taken like 2 days ago. there is some damage in that area, but barely visible due to the low light and low quality of the camera.

Bike looks good. My old F2 is the bike I miss the most off all the stuff I have had through the years. Wish I never sold it. Awesome scoots
