| noob from lancaster PA! hey, whats up? i just recently bought my first bike, a 2002 F4i and now im going to sell my jetta. the jetta just isnt fun to drive fast anymore now that i know what acceleration is! so i'll probably end up buying a cherokee or something. im only about 5'6" and 155lb so i need to get it lowered...any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks. |

| Re: noob from lancaster PA! Welcome! Take the MSF class if you haven't already. You're 5'6" and want to lower it? I'm 5'4" and I don't lower any of my bikes. If you lower it keep in mind that it will affect the geometry and ground clearance. |

she doesn't lower her bikes because she's actually 5' 4.5"
Alternatives for lowering the bike would be to reupholster the seat to be thinner(lower) and/or add some height to the sole of your m/c boots.

-jh | ok, you got me, I am 5' 4.5". Good memory!! Regardless, I have a 31-32" inseam and am on my toes on most everything. You get used to it. You're supposed to only put your left foot down when you stop anyway! |

Unless you like to drag your feet when riding there isn't a need to lower the bike
