noob from lancaster PA!

hey, whats up? i just recently bought my first bike, a 2002 F4i and now im going to sell my jetta. the jetta just isnt fun to drive fast anymore now that i know what acceleration is! so i'll probably end up buying a cherokee or something. im only about 5'6" and 155lb so i need to get it lowered...any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

Welcome! Take the MSF class if you haven't already. You're 5'6" and want to lower it? I'm 5'4" and I don't lower any of my bikes. If you lower it keep in mind that it will affect the geometry and ground clearance.

to the org...

she doesn't lower her bikes because she's actually 5' 4.5"

Alternatives for lowering the bike would be to reupholster the seat to be thinner(lower) and/or add some height to the sole of your m/c boots.

ok, you got me, I am 5' 4.5". Good memory!! Regardless, I have a 31-32" inseam and am on my toes on most everything. You get used to it. You're supposed to only put your left foot down when you stop anyway!

Try to rethink the lower, if you can manage making it work. I'm from Manheim so maybe I'll see you around this season.

Unless you like to drag your feet when riding there isn't a need to lower the bike

And welcome
