What's Up from So Cal

brand new rider... bought my '06 1KRR with only 3700 miles on it from a buddy at work...

a couple pieces of the plastic are cracked, and i'm looking to replace... anyone know a good source to buy OEM plastic?

also, looking for good quality frame sliders... and a rear seat cowl.

later!

Re: What's Up from So Cal

thanks. I know its a big bike to start with but couldn't pass up the price, along with being a big guy. I took a safety class and I plan to go back for advanced class were I can take my own bike on course. Respect and restraint are the two things I know I must have to start with.

Just type seat cowling or fairings in your search bar. You'll come up with a lot of sources. Be safe on that bike. It was a real eye opener and pants shitter the first time I twisted the throttle a little. You will find that the throttle is really twitchy at low R's, but you'll get used to it. Baby steps, man.

Motorcycle Parts, Motorcycle Accessories by BikeBandit.com if you want OEM - I don't know if they're painted or not.

Cal-Sportbike >>> Speedo Healer, Galfer Brakes, Gear Indicator Pro, Elka Suspension, Shogun Sliders. he's a sponsor of this site and has all the good stuff you need.

I have to agree with 2k929 - you are playing with fire starting off with a liter bike. Be very careful - wear ALL your gear ALL the time.
