| Hello every, I'm new to this site As mentioned I’m new to this site, and new to the Fireblade. My previous bikes are a 1992 CBR f2, a 2000 GSXR 750, and a 2001 GSXR 750. I have yet to ride the bike, but I would imagine that the power should be about the same between the 750 and the 954. Besides the seat, I know it will handle very well. I just picked up a 02 954 which is under construction. I bought it from a guy that hit a deer with it. I pretty much have it all apart, just waiting for the parts to come in when I noticed that the radiator has a small leak in it. Come to find out its aluminum so I don’t know if it can be repaired. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. The leak in it is near the fill cap, opposite side of the overflow tube. I checked my local dealer, and they told me an insane $600 bucks for a new one, that can't be right. I did some search online, and it appears that no company makes aftermarket radiators, at least that I can find. Anyway I just wanted to say hello and actually thank you, because of this site I found the solutions to some problems I was having. One thread was about the clock, which I do have the manual, but it’s very had to push the buttons on the Speedo in, I found it easier to use to Allen keys. The other thread was that my brake lights were always on, so I found the thread talking about the foot brake needed some adjustment, and that was great. As I stated the guy hit a deer with this fireblade, I got it for a decent price as I have wanted one of these since they came out. I would of like it better if they made the 954 with the 2000 929 paint scheme with the pearl white and Honda red with a black frame and black wheels. Anyway he replaced both side and upper with that fiberglass body parts. This fiberglass is very hard to work with and the fit is not nice, so when I find a decent price I will buy the OEM abs plastics. When I get the bike done I will post some pics of it, I just wish the stuff I bought will get here, I have the major itch to log some miles on this Fireblade. Anyway Im glad to be aboard and looking forward to all the insight that you all have |
