| Re: Hey all... I am Jerry hale, I am old , but still ride. I have a 1942 Indian shaft drive military sitting in my garage and my 1983 750 Honda Sabre.I have not been able to remedy my starting problem onthe honda, I have to squirt a little starting fluid in the cylinder to get it to start.I have lots of spark, new rebuild on top end,new boots on carbs but to start it, I cant move the throttle any because it will kill the start.Does anyone have an idea? Thanks |

| Re: Hey all... Hey Jerry,
has the bike sat for awhile? If so, might be the classic dirty carbs issue - pilot jet clogged and the motor starved for fuel - dies instantly when giving any throttle... one of many possibilities |
