I think all of these comments should be in the actual engine case repair thread, but thanks for them all anyways!! |

| Re: Hello all Either way, us 'Bladers are always dying to know about new and different projects. Hell, if you do it right, and write it up, the moderators would probably post it up and give all of procrastinating and "pretending to work" crowd something for our little eye balls! |

| Re: Hello all Alright, well, I have a feeling that everyone is going to be very very angry with me on this forum for doing this, but I went ahead and carefully JB Welded this piece int place. If this fails to hold in oil, than I will humbly submit my apologies for disregarding everyones advice.
I talked to my uncle on the phone, and he wouldn't be able to come out for a few more weeks now, and I am basically getting impatient! So I am very sorry if I have offended anyone by doing this.
However, I did JB welded right, if you guys would consider there to be such a thing. I fitted the piece super tight, acid etched the mating parts, cleaned it for hours, and mounted it to the stator cover and the stator cover to the engine, in order to keep everything lined up. I will post pics this afternoon.
Next on the list of things to do is to hook up the engine and turn the key. I'm gonna need a radiator, so I'll have to do a little shopping around, unless someone on here has one that they would be willing to part with. After that, I will finish up the design of my subframes, and cut them out on the mill.
You see that I have have more than one subframe. That is a little hint into the results of this project, is the anticipation growing??? That's right, it will have both front and rear subframe assemblies.
Oh my goodness, I can't handle the suspense!!! Have a good day all! |
