Hello All, Please Help!!!

Hello All,

I'm not new to riding, but I am new to customizing, I have a 1996 Honda CBR 900 RR that a young lady sold me for $1,200.00. The bike is in pretty fair condition.(It runs) I just want to make a few modifications to it. I want to change the tail-piece. In doing that, I understand you have to modify the sub-frame. I’ve been looking around for a few sites that could give me some information on doing this. If any one knows of a site that would give me information on how to do this, please let me know. This is what I found.

if you can cut and weld, you can modify about anything.

Thanks for the reply. That's the problem, I don't know how to cut and weld, nor do I have the tools. I will have to find a bike shop in my area the does custom work.

yea I'm the same way. If it's not a bolt on and doesn't come with clear instructions, I'm screwed.

and if those clear instructions don't have pictures he won't even read them

as long as you don't take anything we say too seriously, it will be great! We do tend to have a good time on this site. Every once in a great, great while we can be helpful too! But don't expect that often. I think the ratio was gauged at about 5% information and 95% entertainment. I tend to think the 5% is too high a number, but what do I know.
