| A Blade for the Middle aged !!! Hi Blade Riders.
Just joined the forum today. Currently own a CBR1100XX (99 model) and it's the best bike I've owned in 35 years of riding . However I've never owned a Fireblade and now have a desire to do so before I'm to old (I'm 54 this year) Dont want to shell out all my hard earned ,so thinking of a 954 in red and black to match the Blackbird. I just figure if I don't try one now I never will.
Do you think its a Good decision? |

| Re: A Blade for the Middle aged !!! I think it's a great decision. Everyone I know who has a 929 or 954 has loved them. I certainly love my 929. |

| Re: A Blade for the Middle aged !!! I think it's a perfect choice, especially if you're looking for a "Blade for the Middle Aged". The 929/954 Blades have a more comfortable riding position than the more performance-focussed 1000's since then. I know tons of people (myself included) who tour on 929/954s. They're better than the earlier Blades in that they're fuel injected, more reliable, more stable and easier to ride. I think the Blade got as close to an all-rounder as you can expect a sportbike to be, during those years. They even have underseat storage. Whatever happened to underseat storage?
Good choice.

| Re: A Blade for the Middle aged !!! i am very happy with the 954 great for rides of about 200 to 300 km but my back side will not allow me to ride all day the std seat is just too hard for it. |

I now live in Horsham. |
