| a little advice would help while riding with 3 of my friends yesterday I was stopped by the state police for reckless operation of a motor vehicle. What was I doing? shaking my hands off while coasting down a hill. Yes i took my hands off the bars for 6 seconds(the same 6 seconds the trooper drove by me)to get the pins and needles to go away. officer friendly then yelled and swore at me saying i was showing off with my feet off the pegs(they were not) and my hands in the air(my hands were in front of me not flailing around in outer space like he claims. I tried to explain that my hands fell asleep and was getting blood flowing again, he didn't care, said i was a liar and called me a reckless motorcyclist.
Now i face 180 days loss of license and fines, not to mention lost work to go to court and i might need a lawer($$$$$$$$$$$)
so do you guys think i'm gonna get effed in my A or do a have a case to fight? |

| Re: a little advice would help i don't know much about the state laws there, but that sounds like something that would get plead down to nothing more than a traffic ticket and defensive driving.
good luck. |

| Re: a little advice would help Fight it. A friend of mine was faced with much the same situation. The police officer had a bad day or something. Luckily for him, the judge hearing his case was something of a motorcycle enthusiast... dismissed the case and reprimanded the officer for being such an ass. |

| Re: a little advice would help thanks for the advice guys. I've hired a lawer and he says even if it goes to trial its a winnable case for me but he doubts it will get past the magistrate.
I'll post what happens but until this is over I guess i better behave myself |
