| Hello from Bulgaria So... Hi As you can guess from the title I'm from Bulgaria, my name is Galena and I'm twenty years old now. What to say about me... First I had Java 250cc, then a Russian weapon - Ural, next - Honda CB 400 N, and last year I bought my CBR 900 RR Fireblade. But... I rode it only a month before I had an accident. It took me all the winter to recover from the crash and to repair the bike of course. So my true experience with the bike begins now. I hope I will find new friends on the road. And I wish for no more accidents. |

| Re: Hello from Bulgaria Well... My Ural was 650cc, very old and noisy. I'm sorry I don't have its picture. It wasn't completely in classis mode but it looked a liiittle bit more like a chopper. The Russian carburetors were changed with Japanese ones and it actually worked better. The seat was long and soft, not like in the original. And the most funny thing about it was that its...hm, I'm not sure about the word here, maybe generator, wasn't working. So I had to ride it counting only on the accumulator. That's why I put a big, heavy car battery on the back of the bike and this way I could travel long enough, before there was a need to recharge the battery. Oh, did I forgot to mention its thirst for oil? Yeah, about every 30km, I was pouring some oil in because it just seemed to disappear. The Ural is a boxer engine, stolen from Germany , with a cardan. I'll try to find a picture of my Russian pride but I can't promise because it has a new owner now. I actually liked it. There was always something to happen on the road but that made everything more interesting |

| Re: Hello from Bulgaria Welcome! I read your other post, an am glad you weren't more seriously hurt, although that was bad enough. I hope you have invested in better gear at this point. Fingerless gloves, as you've discovered, really don't protect very well.
Cheers, welcome again! |
