I only have the CB929RR motor . . .

And a few related parts like the instrument cluster. Its in a formula car - about 725 lbs w/o driver. I have not been able to drive the thing, and not sure what I'll ever do with it - it used to run in SCCA events. Can someone tell me what the red indicator lights next to the neutral indicator is? It lights when I start the car and I'm concerned it indicates an engine prob of some sort. I have the shop manual, but it doesn't seem to say anything about the instruments.

Does it go off a few seconds after the engine starts?

it should be the oil pressure light.

Re: I only have the CB929RR motor . . .

It does not turn off after a few seconds - it comes on when the ignition switch is turned on (its to the left of the green neutral indicator light) goes out momentarily when I hit the starter, and comes back on. It has a fresh filter and oil - filled to the proper level. Any insight on this?

Re: I only have the CB929RR motor . . .

So, after reading a few other posts, I'm wondering if it is the FI light rather than the oil pressure warning. ??
