Help for painting vintage hondas

I just started restoring and need a good source for factory paints (Honda). In particular, I need to paint some engines first (1980). Any help? Thanks...

Re: Help for painting vintage hondas

Hello there,

Fellow Vintage rider, I have restored a few bike now and the best stuff I have found is Dupli-Color DE-1615, which is available online and at most Auto Parts places like Pep Boys for about five bucks a can. It's heat-resistant aluminum spray , that holds up very well. Make sure you spray it thin because the aluminum case on bikes are made to keep them cool and the paint will block that ability. I usually prep the pieces with some carb cleaner on a white tee-shirt rag and then lightly paint in short shots. Good luck !!
